My Home, My Community, My Commitment

For five generations, my family has called this community home. This isn’t just the place where I live, it’s the place that helped shape who I am.

I was born and raised in Murray, where the values of service, education, and community have been part of my family for generations. My grandfather dedicated his career serving our community as a firefighter, while my grandmother worked for the Murray School District. Today, my wife Kim continues that same commitment to education as a first-grade teacher in Murray schools. Service and education have always been deeply rooted in our family and continue to shape the way we live our lives.

Now Kim and I are raising our four boys in the same community that has meant so much to our family. From schools and sports to neighborhood events and community involvement, this is more than where we live, it’s home.

My connection to this community goes beyond my personal life. Through my service in many nonprofits and organizations, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside people who care deeply about strengthening our communities and supporting families throughout Salt Lake County. Salt Lake County is not just a place on a map to me, it’s my community. These are the neighborhoods, families, and people I care deeply about.

This community has given so much to me and my family over the years. My commitment is to continue giving back, to serve with integrity, bring people together, and help strengthen the community that has done so much for so many like me.

Because to me, this has never just been about politics.

It’s about home.
