Mike is a lifelong Murray resident who knows strong communities are built through connection, service, and showing up for one another. He and his wife, Kim, are raising their four boys in the same place that helped shape their values and love for family. Life in the Birdhouse is busy with sports, school events, family adventures, and plenty of cheering from the sidelines. Kim is an elementary school teacher in the Murray School District, and together they share a deep appreciation for education and for supporting students, teachers, and families

With more than 15 years of experience in healthcare administration at the University of Utah Health, Mike has spent his career leading teams, improving operations, and being responsible with budgets and resources. He is a proud graduate of Salt Lake Community College and the University of Utah, and earned a master’s degree in finance.

Mike has always believed service starts close to home. From coaching youth sports, volunteering in his church, to serving nonprofits and local boards, he has stayed committed to giving back. He currently serves on the Salt Lake Community College Board of Trustees and chairs the SLCC Alumni Board. Mike is running for Salt Lake County Council to Support Strong Communities, Strengthen Working Families, and Respect Taxpayer Dollars. He would be honored to earn your support and continue serving the community he loves.
